Visions by Ron

Ron's carvings have been for sale at various "Gem & Rock Shows"  for several years now, and has never fail to receive acclaim wherever they are shown.  He is also under contract with the "Original Sixteen to One Mine" to carve their magnificent gold bearing quartz.  He was also included in a article in "Rock and Gem" magazine Y2K.  Ron brings to his art a passion for both the media (Rocks) and the carving, and this passion to freely communicated to all who wish to partake.  His enthusiasm seriously contagious.  He seeks not so much to reform his media, as to refine forms that he sees there.  Each stone is studied and handled and caressed before work commences, and forms emerge that flow gracefully from solid rock.

Ron's wife, Carmen designs Jewelry pieces out of the carvings.  They are designed into Pendants or Brooches - They become small sculptures of wearable "Art".  She does Metal fabrication and wax work-Casting(Lost wax Process) Some are set with various gemstones rangeing from Diamonds to Colored gemstones like Amethyst, Citrines, Garnets, and Tourmalines.  She has taken Jewelry Classes at Revere Academy in San Fransico, and also is currently taking classes with Gemological Inst. of America, Carlsbad, CA.  Currently She has finished GIA Diamond Graduate, GIA Pearls Graduate, and Accredited Jewelry Professional/AJP  (GIA)
